Viewing and sales from the premises only. We rarely conduct board sales remotely as we like the buyer to see the degree of potential flaws in a board which cannot be appreciated from photos.
BEECH, SPALTED / COLOURED 25mm 2.1 and 2.4m. Square Edge & Single Waney Edge. Flat and dry, approx 2 cubic metres available.
YEW 32mm, various lengths around 3m. Square Edge & Waney. Provenance Hopetoun Estate.
MAPLE 38MM 2.1m. Square edge around 250mm wide & Waneys up to around 500mm. Tree No. 1660
OLIVE ASH 50mm. 2.1m lengths, 200 to 700mm widths, double waney or single waney. Some beautifully coloured and figured boards but very splitty (tree no.1650). Lots of perfectly clean straight boards too.
SPALTED BEECH 50mm. 2.1m lengths, some quite nice spalt and colour flame markings. approx 250 to 300mm wide, single waney and straight even edge. Tree no 1558B.
BURRY OAK 50MM 2.6m, WIDE SLABS log no. 1468B see pics. 2 left. 700mm wide, wild burry concave bowed edges.
BROWN OAK 60mm. 12 to 14% Moisture Content. 3m by 600mm wide Square edge, tiger striped through to pure ginger.
SWEET CHESTNUT, BURRY 63MM 1.8m, WIDE SLABS around 1.2m double waney character, full of ripple & burr. Provenance Hopetoun Estate.
MAPLE 63MM 1.8m, WIDE SLABS around 1.2m, quite dead / rustic character / crotch.
POPLAR 63MM 3.6m. Single waney 200mm widths.
HORSE CHESTNUT 75MM 2.4m. Single waney, partly dead/soft, wild burry edges, flame, ripple, burr, colourful.
