It is no good producing wood kiln dried down to 10% and then storing it in an airy, damp, unheated shed, container or barn until it is sold.  Here at Lanarkshire Hardwoods we take pride in always having had a dry, heated and dehumidified store (the Wood Shop) in which to store the wood as soon as it leaves the kiln. Until we got our new wood boiler it was even commented that the Wood Shop was warmer than our house!  Although not heated as highly as a central heated house, the combination of a dehumidifier and good insulation ensures the pieces of wood stay nice and dry until they go off for their new lives elsewhere.
