The Wood Place : temporary closure of our Lanarkshire premises retail store 21.11.20
NEWS UPDATE 17.11.20
***OUR RETAIL SHOP BUILDING AT OUR PREMISES WILL BE TEMPORARILY CLOSED FROM & INCLUDING SATURDAY 21ST NOVEMBER, POSSIBLY THROUGH THE HOLIDAY PERIOD UNTIL APPROX MID JANUARY, DATE TO BE CONFIRMED***
- CLOSED : RETAIL PREMISES SHOP
- OPERATIONAL : WEB SALES, OFFICE, SAWMILL, MACHINE WORKSHOP, FURNITURE WORKSHOP, DISPATCH DEPT, CLICK & COLLECT AREA.
We will continue to operate the online web shop for wood sales daily, with the usual delivery restrictions over the holiday period, and click & collect. Please adhere to the guidelines & laws regarding travel if you are collecting. PLEASE DO NOT COME TO OUR PREMISES UNLESS YOU HAVE A COLLECTION OF WOOD OR FURNITURE TO UPLIFT OR DELIVER AND HAVE ARRANGED WITH US BEFOREHAND.
Our retail shop is based in South Lanarkshire, a county which is due to go Scottish tier 4 from 6pm Friday 20th November 2020. It is a non-essential business and therefore we are required by law to close the retail shop to customers until 11th December. However we do not judge it at this time worth opening again on the 12th for only one week to the point when we would normally close for at least 2 weeks for the christmas & new year holidays. Due to us working without a single day off through the whole of 2020 so far, since last new year hols, we plan to try(!!) to take 3 to 4 weeks off or at least at a more relaxed pace over christmas & new year so that will run from approx mid Dec to mid Jan. Opening dates to be confirmed. WE WILL REVIEW WHETHER IT IS ALLOWABLE / SAFE / WORTH OPENING FOR A WEEK BEFORE CHRISTMAS, NEARER THE TIME.
As stated above, rest assured that, bar Christmas day, we will be responding to enquiries and taking & processing all web orders; however getting the national courier network at this time is near impossible and leads to losses so we wont send anything out from about 17th December until about 6th January, as usual.
