Beware sat navs may not lead you directly to us. Look out for Red sign ‘Lanarkshire Hardwoods’ on the public road.
***NB ROAD CLOSURE !!! *** CARNWATH MAIN STREET WILL BE CLOSED TO THROUGH TRAFFIC (A70). If coming from the south west, Lanark/Carluke etc, please turn left onto the B7016 for Braehead just before Carnwath (after West End and just before the railway bridge and the golf club). Follow for several miles then take first right for Auchengray. Follow for several miles, over railway level crossing then first right after 100m at junction. Follow for approx 1 mile and after small agricultural shed and bungalow beside road on RHS, take first right at Red Lanarkshire Hardwoods sign (single track tarmac road), then see our Wood Place and entrance in next right at bottom of hill. If local/good at maps, there is a short cut turning to the right half way along the stretch to the level crossing, but it is wild and wiggly! All of this you can see on the ‘find us’ link above if you enlarge the google map.
Post Updated 4th September with Tour times, Parking info & Road Closure info, regards, Patrick
